I have a few question about the lore behind atulos. I was wondering if there are any official answers to them,I'll bulletpoint them below. everyone feel free to contribute any thoughts you have on the subject.

What was the ancient land called, before being named atulos?
What sort of year are we on in game? eg 1000AA (After Atulos).

That said with the time since atulos's reign do the eras have any relevance to the time line at all?

Are we going to see these mountain rebels or have they been disbanded since the downfall of atulos?

And finally is there any back story to atulos that hasn't been made available yet just sitting around? :P

Guilds / Scruffy Nerf Herders (SNH)

Scruffy Nerf Herders in a new guild in the game.

The main aim of the Scruffy Nerf Herders is to help new player and get them through the game with as little difficulty as possible.

We hope to achieve this by providing tips and guides, these will be available on the guild forum below. I've chosen to put these here so it's intentionally out of the way, so that they can't be accidentally found by a player who does't want to see them.

To be able to see the guides you'll need to sign up on the forum and then ask me to make you a member, and of course you'll need to join the guild ;)

Could i suggest the level up message only shows once every 10 levels, e/g 10, 20, 30, etc? it would help with chat spam alot.

I'd really like to see steam overlay integrated with the game it would be great for the screen-shotting feature and also quick access to help such as guides and discussion that is available on the steam overlay in other games, this is a possibility? or is there an overall issue with it?

When I had just started playing atulos I had a bit of a time finding the forums for it, as there have been a few other in the past. I found myself post in an old forum and being directed to the new one by one of the mods who happened to have checked it. That said I think a button on the title screen that takes you straight to the forum would be great for new players to find the right one, or an easy way for older players to access it.

So in game discussion started between Sage, Tiggylove, Camm and myself for a multiplayer boss.

A boss that would take 2- 3 level 600's to kill, would require both/all to "tank" it at some point in the fight, so you don't all wipe. Loot I guess would be personal to your self? unless someone has a cooler idea (not too sure on the game limitations so don't want to suggest something unreasonable) .Items to drop, something like gold and  1/100 drop rate of rings/ necklaces that would increase attack/defense or even xp gained from kills/quests. These new items once obtained would be up-gradable and would be pretty expensive to upgrade (my only issue with that is that some people from years back have more gold then is currently attainable due to changes made, therefore would see a huge power spike very quickly once they obtain this drop.)

Now, thinking about it, I reckon the drop rate idea above is very much do-able as I think there are gonna be back ground checks already, such as if you've killed all the monsters in the shire atulos will appear. so I think you a check could be applied to the boss that if you haven't already got the special loot then you have a chance to get it, if you have then you just get gold.

Essentially you'd get rekt trying to kill this by your self but with 2/3 (depending on what it's scaled to) would be able to kill it,just... at level 600.
Having level 620 would allow you to kill it with a little less panic and make it a safer kill.

A boss something along those lines would be so great! If anyone has any other ideas i'd love to hear them.

Last night I encountered a bit of a self induced roll back on my character, what happened is I was logged on to atulos via steam on my laptop I then moved to my pc and logged on to another game on steam this disconnected my game from steam. The disconnect from steam logged me out. I lost about 5 levels. Due to the fact that I hadn't initiated a save my self by clicking esc.

This got me thinking. Maybe a newer game save system would be a really good feature. Something that possibly saves your game when moving from area to area (depending on server impact ) or something like saving your game every so often. With the coming of the steam release I'd hate for a massive inflow of players to crash the server and then all those new players to lose there progress, I don't know how much of a concern this is but I can't imagine it would be a good first impression.

General Discussion / 3rd Atulos Battle

So I was wondering who has defeated him. I'm aware of a few people who've killed him.

It's a good fight, and i wanted to try it at the level it was intended to be killed. So when I hit level 350 this morning, I went straight to the shrine and gave it ago. I didn't manage to get a screenshot of the first kill as I wasn't ready :L (got a screenshot of the cut scene) but here's the shot of the second kill xD

So I have two screens, when i'm using my second screen and click, my character will still move even if my cursor is outside the game window. I was hoping you'd be able to implement the same movement restrictions to the sides of the game window, like you have with the top and bottom on the screen but a little further out so i can still click the black area around the game window to move.

Hope that make enough sense, Let me know if you need me to explain it differently.

So this is a post that has come from mainly myself but has had others add to it when generally talking in game. I think the game would benefit from any (hopefully all) of the features listed in this post. I'm fully aware that some of my suggestion could take a long time to come about, not be possible, or just not wanted in game. Here's my 2 cents anyway.

Okay so first things first, outside the game, but still in game...?

Resolution:
I'd love to be able to play the game in 1920 x 1080. even if it's just i can see more of the map instead of black.
I think this would benefit the game. Not only will new players be able to play in proper full screen, but navigating the mazes will be a little easier as you'll be able to see further.

Enter to log in
Every day I log in, I type my name then tab type my password, then enter. every time I have to manually click the log in button. It's not a massive change, but it would be really nice to be able to enter to log in.

On to in game suggestions (short interlude)

Guild Chat
Having a guild at the moment, for me seems to have very little meaning. If we were able to talk as a guild, we could have maybe more of a faction feeling to the game. You could come up with arena strategies and new boss tactics as a small force. I think this in hand with guild forum pages would work really well.

Crafting
Atulos has a huge variety of monsters, putting crafting in to the game could give them all something to drop. I'm sure a crafting system would go a long way to making more interesting, and it would give characters at cap (when they get there) something to do. Level a skill in crafting. crafting materials and recipes could be obtained from bosses (maybe on a small drop chance to make the item rare) and mission (for the more common recipes).

Trading (Contributed by others)
Trading would give crafters an ideal way to make money/obtain crafted or bought weapons and share recipes. Personally i'd love to see more interaction between players, and I think this is a good way to do it.

Visible hp and Hit markers
Being able to see the enemies hp (and yours) and the damage done means that when you get a new weapon/level you can see that you hit for more, or you take less damage from something. It gives everyone physical numbers to work with, they can see the power increase and will keep them involved with their characters progression.

Further gear progression (Contributed by others(I think))
I've heard a lot about having far more than enough money by the time you buy wrath gear, and a few people have millions of gold to do nothing with. Perhaps adding new weapons in for level 400/450/500 just so there is more progression than just your level. This could tie in nicely with crafting.

Specific Art for Weapons and Armour
I'd live to actually see the weapon i'm holding on my character, and the armor I have to protect myself with. Getting a weapon that looks more epic for each upgrade. - Not sure what you'd do with the reaper and orc skins :P IMO I'd just be happy with that sythe.

Active Combat (Contributed by others)
Having played MMO's with hot keys based combat (WOW, Rift, Guild wars) and more auto combat MMO's (Runescape) I really enjoy combat when it differs from class to class. Having iconic spells for each class really builds character distinction and game immersion.

I'd love to hear feedback on my suggestions, pros and cons. Be it community or Dev feedback. Let me know what you think.

Hey Guys,

I've been playing a load since i got Atu'los working again.

I've been thinking, I'd really like to see an Atu'los Wiki, I think having something that would allow us to see physical stats on Weapons/ Armour. Character base stats and possibly information on the missions. Obviously there's a lot of work that would have to be put in to that. but i think that as it would be a wiki page it could be  filled out by anyone.

That said if people thinks it's a good idea, with the information and all but not too sure about it being a wiki page, i could always possibly be a threat else where on the forum.

Let me know what you guys think, i can't imagine it'll be a fast thing to put together if people like the idea and we're able to get it off the ground.

Help / [SOLVED Avast Anti-Virus] Update 2.6 Doesn't load

Hey all,

So I tried loading atu'los this morning after getting an email about update 2.6. I ran the launcher and the game updated. I clicked play and the application started however when I clicked it on the task bar it wouldn't open. I'm currently running windows 10. And I tried running in native mode and auto graphic settings. Anyone able to suggest any thing that might help? I didn't get a chance to mess about with running it in different setting or compatabilities before going to work.

General Discussion / WTB: Grim Reaper skin

I was speaking to mini on Thursday about skins and he said that i could still get a grim reaper skin i was wondering how i would go about getting one, as far as in aware its a purchase but im not sure if that's right i would assume this message should be directed at Steve but that just a guess. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
